Pakistan suffered another major batting collapse at Lord’s, as England bowled them out for just 110 runs in the second Test.
After England posted 290 in their first innings, Pakistan needed a strong batting performance to stay in the contest. Instead, their top order struggled badly against England’s pace attack, leaving the visitors with a huge 180-run deficit.
Azan Awais was the only Pakistani batter to offer meaningful resistance, scoring 46 from 102 deliveries. However, he received almost no support as wickets continued to fall at regular intervals.
England’s Ollie Robinson was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for only 11 runs, while Jofra Archer claimed three wickets as England’s fast bowlers exposed Pakistan’s batting weaknesses.The collapse has left Pakistan in a deeply difficult position.
England strengthened their grip on the match in their second innings, moving well ahead of Pakistan and putting themselves in a strong position to take a 2–0 lead in the three-match series.Pakistan now faces a huge challenge to save the Test after another disappointing batting display.
