SJazz has become the first mobile operator in Pakistan to reach 1,000 live 5G sites, marking a major milestone in the country’s fast-growing 5G rollout.

The company’s 5G network now covers 10 cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala.

Jazz initially launched 5G on around 180 sites before rapidly expanding its network.Jazz says it plans to take the number of 5G sites to 2,500 by the end of 2026, meaning the operator intends to add another 1,500 sites within the year.

The expansion is supported by a $1 billion investment plan aimed at strengthening network infrastructure and accelerating 5G deployment across Pakistan. The company says the larger network will provide users with greater capacity, faster speeds and more reliable connectivity.

The milestone also highlights the growing competition among Pakistan’s telecom operators as they expand next-generation mobile services. With 5G deployment accelerating, more cities and consumers are expected to gain access to faster and more capable mobile networks.

Jazz’s achievement marks an important step in Pakistan’s digital transformation and could help create new opportunities for businesses, industries and government services that depend on high-speed connectivity.
