Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Nano Controller, its smallest gaming controller to date, offering a compact design for gamers who want a portable and lightweight device. The controller is priced at $49.99 in the United States, equivalent to approximately Rs14,000 in Pakistan before import costs and retailer margins.
Announced on October 14, 2026, the Xbox Nano Controller is scheduled to launch in select international markets on November 4. Pre-orders are already open in supported regions.
Measuring just over five inches in length and weighing approximately 99 grams, the new controller is designed for younger players, people with smaller hands and gamers who prefer a portable gaming accessory.
Despite its small size, the controller retains all 18 standard gameplay inputs, including analogue sticks, a directional pad, triggers and action buttons. It also features a built-in rechargeable battery, a USB-C charging port and a programmable Action Button that can be customised for functions such as taking screenshots and recording gameplay.
The Xbox Nano supports Xbox Wireless connectivity and Bluetooth, allowing it to connect to compatible Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, smartphones, tablets and selected smart TVs.
Microsoft has positioned the device as an accessible option for playing games at home or while travelling. Its compact design also makes it easier to carry in a pocket or small bag.
However, the company has not confirmed an official Pakistani launch date or local retail price. The estimated Rs14,000 price is based on the US price conversion, and the final cost in Pakistan may be higher depending on import expenses and retailer pricing.
The launch adds another option to Microsoft’s Xbox accessories lineup, targeting gamers who value portability without sacrificing the familiar Xbox control layout.
