Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah recently outlined the significant financial requirements needed to transform Karachi, estimating the city’s development would require Rs1 trillion annually. Despite these needs, the government has allocated only Rs218 billion this year due to limited resources.

Murad Ali Shah stressed that a substantial investment of about Rs1,000 billion is needed for infrastructure improvements and rebuilding efforts across Karachi. Such an investment is crucial for resolving the city’s ongoing issues and enhancing the living conditions of its residents.

These points were made by the Chief Minister during a meeting at the National Press Club Islamabad. The meeting followed journalists’ visits to several districts in Sindh, where they praised the government’s ongoing development projects in the province.
