The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) has announced that Pakistan will hold a grand military parade on August 14, 2026, to celebrate Independence Day. He said the armed forces will display a glimpse of their strength and capabilities during the event.
Speaking to the media, the DG ISPR stated that the parade will be magnificent and will show the public a small but impressive view of Pakistan’s military power and readiness. He added that the event is linked to national unity and recent successes, including the victory in Marka-e-Haq. “We are ready. If anyone wants to test us, they are most welcome,” he declared.
The parade is expected to feature a joint services display by the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force. It may include marching troops, modern weapons, tanks, aircraft flypast, and other defence equipment. The event aims to boost national pride and send a clear message of strength to the world.
Pakistan has a tradition of holding grand parades on important national days. This year’s celebrations will be extra special as they mark both Independence Day and recent achievements. The public is eagerly waiting for the event, which will likely take place at a prominent location in Islamabad.
