Alkhidmat Foundation has been actively working to support families affected by the recent floods. The organization has so far spent 25 crore rupees to provide urgent relief.
This amount has been used for emergency food supplies, temporary shelter, safe drinking water, and medical care for thousands of people living in the hardest-hit regions.
Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman shared that the situation in flood-affected areas is still very serious. Many families have lost their homes, land, and means of income. Children, women, and elderly people are at greater risk because of unsafe living conditions, shortage of clean water, and health issues caused by flooding.
To respond to these needs, Alkhidmat’s teams and volunteers are working on the ground to make sure that timely help reaches those who need it most.
The Foundation has arranged relief camps where cooked meals and safe shelters are being provided. Medical teams are treating patients suffering from waterborne diseases and other flood-related health problems. Clean drinking water projects are also being introduced in areas where local water systems have been damaged or contaminated.
According to Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, this is an emergency phase of relief, but long-term efforts will also be required. Rebuilding homes, helping families recover their livelihoods, and ensuring education for children are some of the priorities Alkhidmat is focusing on for the near future.
Through continued support and coordinated action, the Foundation aims to reduce the hardship of affected families and assist them in rebuilding their lives step by step.
