CDA has introduced a new service that allows people to track metro and electric buses in real time through Google Maps, using the official CDA Mobile App.
With this feature, passengers can now easily check bus routes, stops, and live timings directly on their smartphones. The step is aimed at making travel across Islamabad and Rawalpindi easier and more reliable.
The new system includes all electric feeder buses along with the complete metro network, covering the Red, Orange, Green, Blue, and Purple Lines. It also extends to special weekend routes that take tourists to popular locations such as Daman-e-Koh and Shakarparian.
This addition is expected to make traveling more convenient, especially for those who want to avoid waiting at bus stops or guessing arrival times.
By being able to track buses live, commuters can plan their journeys in advance, save time, and reduce the stress of delays. It also encourages people to use public transport more often, which in turn can help reduce road congestion and air pollution in the capital city.
The CDA Mobile App is available for both Android and iOS users. Through Google Maps integration, the app provides a smooth and user-friendly experience, allowing residents and visitors to travel around the twin cities with greater ease.
This initiative reflects CDA’s efforts to modernize public transportation, promote eco-friendly travel, and provide better facilities for citizens as well as tourists.
