Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has pledged to uphold accountability and transparency across all government departments, declaring that the “era of impunity is over.”
Speaking at a press briefing in Peshawar, Afridi announced a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, stating that those found guilty of misuse of authority or public resources will face strict disciplinary and legal action. He added that honest and hardworking officials would be recognized and rewarded for their integrity and dedication to public service.
Afridi stressed that no one will be above the law, whether in politics, bureaucracy, or administration. “We will not tolerate those who exploit their positions for personal gain. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve clean governance and real accountability,” he said.
The Chief Minister also outlined plans to introduce digital monitoring systems to ensure transparency in government projects and to curb financial irregularities. He emphasized that restoring public trust in institutions is his government’s top priority.
Afridi’s statement marks a strong commitment to good governance, aiming to set a new standard of integrity and responsibility in the province’s political and administrative framework.
