Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently met Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, to discuss ways to strengthen defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s “unwavering support and solidarity” with Pakistan. He highlighted the historic ties between the two nations, which are based on shared faith, culture, and values.
Both sides discussed several areas of cooperation, including joint military training, strategic defence planning, and collaboration to combat terrorism. They also talked about promoting peace and stability in the region. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to exchange knowledge, skills, and expertise in defence matters.
The meeting reflected Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s strong strategic partnership and their determination to continue expanding military collaboration. Both nations emphasized the importance of maintaining close ties to ensure regional security and mutual development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan values Saudi Arabia’s support in times of need and looks forward to deepening cooperation in defence and other strategic areas. The meeting further strengthened the long-standing friendship between the two countries and highlighted shared goals for security, peace, and prosperity in the region.
