InDrive Acquires Pakistan’s KraveMart to Expand Grocery Delivery Services

by Mahnoor Arif

Global ride-hailing company inDrive has acquired Pakistan based quick commerce startup Krave Mart as part of its plan to expand grocery delivery services in South Asia. The deal aims to strengthen inDrive’s presence in Pakistan’s fast growing online shopping and delivery market.

According to reports, the agreement was finalized last year but recently received approval from the Competition Commission of Pakistan. This approval allows both companies to officially move forward with the acquisition. While inDrive confirmed the deal, it did not reveal the financial details of the transaction.

Founded in 2021, Krave Mart quickly gained attention in Pakistan’s quick commerce sector. The company operates in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. It provides fast grocery delivery, usually within 30 minutes, using a network of small warehouses known as dark stores that are placed close to residential areas.

This acquisition shows the growing demand for fast delivery services in Pakistan. Many urban consumers now prefer ordering groceries online instead of visiting physical stores.

By acquiring Krave Mart, inDrive is expected to expand its services beyond ride hailing and move further into e-commerce and quick delivery. The move could also increase competition among digital delivery platforms operating in Pakistan.
