At the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan delivered one of the tournament’s most powerful batting displays. In Pakistan’s must-win Group A match against Namibia in Colombo, Farhan scored a century off just 57 balls, ending unbeaten on 100 with 11 fours and four sixes.

That knock lifted Pakistan to a total of 199 for three and moved Farhan to the top of the tournament’s run-scoring list. He is only the second Pakistani batter to hit a T20 World Cup hundred, joining Ahmed Shehzad, whose century came in 2014.

Farhan’s century also put him ahead in overall runs in the ongoing tournament, placing him as the leading run scorer with 220 runs so far, according to official records. His consistency in the group stage has given Pakistan a vital boost in the race for the Super 8 stage.

In the broader batting charts, no Indian player features in the top five run-scorers at this stage of the competition. According to current statistics, India’s Ishan Kishan ranks sixth with 158 runs, making him the highest-placed Indian batter just outside the top five. Other teams and players, such as South Africa’s Aiden Markram and New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, occupy the leading spots alongside Farhan.

Farhan’s performance has drawn praise from fans and analysts alike. His century came after a disappointing outing against India, where he failed to score, showing his resilience and temperament. With Pakistan’s Super Eight chances hanging in the balance, his runs could prove decisive for their progression.
