Pakistan is heading to the stars soon, as in an exciting announcement today, April 22, 2026, two Pakistani citizens have been chosen to join China’s manned space program. Muhammad Zeeshan Ali and Khurram Daud are the history-makers who will soon travel to China for advanced training.
While both candidates will undergo intense preparation at the Astronaut Centre of China, only one will be selected for the final journey. That lucky individual will travel to the Tiangong Space Station, becoming the first-ever foreign astronaut to visit the facility.
Once there, they will serve as a “payload specialist,” a role focused on conducting scientific experiments in microgravity. These tests could help solve real-world problems back on Earth, such as improving food security and finding climate change solutions.
This historic mission, expected to launch in late 2026, is a major step forward for Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). It also highlights the deep friendship between Pakistan and China, which has already worked together on successful moon and satellite missions.
This shows that with hard work and Global cooperation, Pakistan has a bright scientific future.
