Emirates has made history by launching the world’s most comprehensive travel insurance, called Comprehensive Travel Cover. It is the first time any airline has offered such wide protection, including medical coverage for conflict-related incidents. This new plan gives passengers more peace of mind when travelling during uncertain times.
The insurance, offered in partnership with Travel Guard, provides up to US$25,000 for medical expenses caused by conflicts. It also includes a free trip extension of up to 30 days. Passengers can get airline-managed hotel stays and extended support if their journey is disrupted due to various reasons, including airspace closures.
If flights are cancelled, Emirates will rebook passengers on other airlines at no extra cost. The cover works even if some governments advise against travel. It also offers standard benefits like unlimited global medical expenses, emergency evacuations, trip cancellation protection, and baggage delay or loss compensation.
This industry-first step shows Emirates’ strong commitment to passenger safety and care. Travellers can add the insurance when booking tickets on emirates.com or later through Manage Booking. Launched on June 17, 2026, it aims to make international travel safer and more reliable for people flying to or through Dubai.
