The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has advised mobile phone users to ensure their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) information is up to date to avoid the suspension of their SIM cards.
According to the PTA, SIMs linked to expired or incorrect CNIC records may be blocked if users fail to update their information.
The authority urged customers to verify their details through their mobile network operator or visit the nearest service centre if changes are needed.
The move is aimed at improving security, preventing the misuse of mobile connections, and ensuring that all active SIMs are registered with valid identity records.
The PTA has encouraged users to complete the verification process as soon as possible to avoid any disruption in mobile service
