Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz shared her personal style of public speaking while addressing the convocation ceremony at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on May 12, 2026. She said, “I don’t like reading prepared speeches. I prefer heart-to-heart conversations.” Her emotional and spontaneous speech won huge applause from the graduating students and the audience.

While addressing the 21st convocation of her alma mater, Maryam Nawaz became emotional several times. She chose to speak directly from the heart instead of reading from a written script. She motivated the young female graduates to work hard, follow their dreams, and contribute to society. She also highlighted the importance of women’s education and empowerment in Punjab.
