Lahore Qalandars Set Target of 200 Runs Against Karachi Kings in PSL

by Mahnoor Arif

In an exciting match of the Pakistan Super League 2026 season, Lahore Qalandars put up a strong total of 199 for 6 against Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium on April 23.

After losing the toss, Lahore Qalandars started with intent but also lost a few early wickets. However, the innings was stabilized by Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman, who both played impressive half-century knocks.

Abdullah scored 62 runs off 36 balls, showing excellent timing and shot selection. Fakhar Zaman added 61 runs from 41 balls, keeping the scoreboard moving with aggressive strokes.

The middle and lower order chipped in with useful contributions, helping the team reach a competitive total. Lahore’s batting display included a good mix of boundaries and quick running between the wickets, which kept pressure on the opposition bowlers throughout the innings.

A total of 199 is considered strong in T20 cricket, especially on a batting-friendly pitch like Gaddafi Stadium. Lahore Qalandars will now look to defend this total with disciplined bowling and tight fielding.

The match remains crucial for both sides as they aim to improve their position in the tournament standings.
