Pakistan’s federal government has proposed significant funds for top constitutional offices in the 2026-27 budget. The President’s House (Aiwan-e-Sadr) will get Rs. 2.80 billion. The Prime Minister’s Public Office has been allocated Rs. 920 million (Rs. 92 crore).
The President’s personal office will receive Rs. 1.83 billion, which is Rs. 130 million more than last year. The PM’s internal office budget is set at Rs. 895 million. These increases show the revised spending plans for running important government offices smoothly.
The budget also includes major allocations for other key institutions. These cover the judiciary, Parliament, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), and several other departments. The aim is to strengthen governance, justice, and democratic institutions across the country.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the Rs. 18.77 trillion budget on June 12, 2026. While security and development remain top priorities, these allocations for high-level offices ensure the smooth functioning of the state.
However, critics often question high spending on such offices when many people want more funds for education, health, and public welfare. The government says these expenses are necessary for official duties, protocol, and maintaining state institutions. Overall, the proposals reflect a balance between administrative needs and national development goals.
