Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for strong unity among the country’s four provinces. While speaking in the National Assembly during the budget session on June 13, 2026, he used a simple family example to explain his point. “If there are four brothers and only one loaf of bread, they must share it equally,” he said.
PM Shehbaz stressed that Pakistan is like one big family. When resources are limited, all provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, should work together and share fairly. He added that if God gives more blessings, everyone should enjoy them together to move the country forward.
His remarks came while defending the federal budget for 2026-27. The opposition had raised concerns about development funds for smaller provinces. The Prime Minister assured the House that the government is committed to balanced growth. He highlighted consultations with all provincial governments before finalizing the budget.
Pakistan faces many challenges, such as economic pressure, inflation, and regional differences. PM Shehbaz believes unity and cooperation are the only way to solve them. He invited the opposition to dialogue and urged everyone to put national interest first.
Experts say such messages are important for a federation like Pakistan. Fair resource sharing under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award and joint projects can reduce tensions and bring faster development, especially in less developed areas like Balochistan.
PM Shehbaz thanked provincial leaders for their support and said true progress comes when all parts of the country move together like brothers. His words aim to promote harmony, collective responsibility, and equitable development across Pakistan.
