The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a province-wide alert for thunderstorms, rain, and possible hailstorms across Punjab. This warning comes after recent showers in many districts and more wet weather expected in the coming days.
On Saturday, PDMA warned of strong winds, thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and hail in most parts of the province. Officials expect this weather from around June 11 to 13 or longer, with some gaps.
PDMA has asked all commissioners and deputy commissioners to stay on high alert. They want local administrations to prepare for possible damage from strong winds, lightning, or hail. Citizens are advised to be careful, especially farmers, drivers, and people living in weak houses. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy rain or storms, secure loose objects, and stay updated through official sources.
