Sialkot Stallionz Appoints Sohail Tanvir as Bowling Coach for PSL11

by Mahnoor Arif

Sialkot Stallionz have appointed former Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir as their bowling coach ahead of the Pakistan Super League season 11. The move signals the franchise’s intent to build a strong and experienced support staff for its debut campaign in 2026.

Tanvir, known for his unique left arm action and clever variations, represented Pakistan in all formats and claimed 118 international wickets during his career.

He was also a regular feature in global T20 leagues, including the PSL, where he made an early impact with match winning performances. His understanding of modern white ball cricket and T20 tactics is expected to benefit the Stallionz’ bowling unit.

Since stepping away from international cricket, Tanvir has remained involved in the game. He has worked with young fast bowlers in domestic tournaments and training camps, focusing on skill development, discipline, and match awareness.

His coaching approach combines technical guidance with practical experience gained from playing at the highest level.

The Stallionz have already attracted attention by appointing former Australian captain Tim Paine as head coach and signing star batter Steve Smith. With Tanvir now joining the setup, the franchise appears focused on balancing international expertise with local knowledge.

As PSL 11 approaches, Sialkot Stallionz are shaping a competitive squad and management team. The addition of Sohail Tanvir adds credibility and experience to their bowling department, raising expectations for a strong first season.
