The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a big increase in prize money for PSL 11. The winning team will receive $500,000 while the runners-up will get $300,000. This is part of a new reward system introduced in PSL history.

PCB has also created a special award of $200,000 for the franchise that shows the best efforts in player development. In addition, players of the championship-winning team will share another $500,000 bonus. This brings the total prize pool for the final and related awards to $1.5 million.

Peshawar Zalmi won their second PSL title on May 3, 2026. They defeated debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in a thrilling final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Zalmi chased down a target of 130 in just 15.2 overs. This victory ended a long wait since their 2017 title.

The higher prize money is good news for franchises and players. It will encourage better performance and investment in young talent. Many fans and experts say this step will help make PSL one of the top leagues in the world.

PCB officials hope this new system will raise the standard of Pakistan cricket. Teams will now focus more on developing local players alongside buying big stars. Peshawar Zalmi’s win and Sufiyan Muqeem’s Player of the Tournament award have added extra joy to this successful season.
