Several senior Pakistani government officials have been recommended for the country’s Civil Awards 2026 in recognition of their public service and contributions to the government.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb have been recommended for the prestigious Nishan-i-Imtiaz. Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial has been proposed for the Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
The proposed list also includes Establishment and Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema and Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, who have been recommended for the Nishan-i-Imtiaz.
Meanwhile, Finance Secretary Imdadullah Bosal is among the officials proposed for the Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
The recommendations recognise the officials’ roles in public administration, economic management and government affairs. Their work has included efforts related to Pakistan’s economic policies, revenue collection, financial management and institutional reforms.
However, the recommendations are not yet final. The proposed names will have to receive formal approval through the required official process before the Civil Awards are confirmed and publicly announced.
Pakistan’s Civil Awards are presented to individuals who have made notable contributions to the country through public service and achievements in various fields. The honours include several levels, with the Nishan-i-Imtiaz and Hilal-i-Imtiaz among the country’s most prestigious civilian awards.
If approved, the 2026 awards will recognize the contributions of these senior officials alongside other individuals selected for their services to Pakistan.
