Pakistan’s Cotton Yarn Exports to China Exceed $450 Million in 2025

by Hameed

Pakistan’s cotton yarn exports to China continued to perform strongly in 2025, crossing the $450 million mark. This growth highlights the close trade relationship between the two countries, especially under their broader economic partnership. The textile sector remains one of the key areas where both sides benefit from steady cooperation and mutual demand.

Data from Chinese customs shows that Pakistan exported more than $451 million worth of cotton yarn to China during the year. A large portion of these exports consisted of uncombed single yarn, which is widely used by Chinese textile manufacturers. Pakistan emerged as China’s second-largest supplier in several important yarn categories, ranking just behind Vietnam and staying well ahead of other regional competitors.

Chinese textile centers such as Fujian and Guangdong continued to be the main destinations for Pakistani yarn. Industry experts note that this trade is no longer driven only by short-term needs. Instead, it is increasingly based on long-term supply arrangements, helping ensure stability for manufacturers in China and providing consistent export earnings for Pakistan’s textile industry.
