Babar Azam produced one of the greatest knocks in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history Today. The Peshawar Zalmi captain smashed an unbeaten century off just 52 balls against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Babar scored 100 not out with a stunning strike rate of 192.31. He hit 6 fours and 4 sixes, and remarkably played only one dot ball in the entire innings, a rare achievement for such a long stay in T20 cricket.

This brilliant performance helped Peshawar Zalmi post a massive total of 255 for 3, the highest team score ever recorded in a PSL match at the Karachi venue.

It was Babar’s third PSL century, which equals the record for the most centuries in the tournament’s history. This was also his fastest century in the PSL and his first T20 hundred since February 2024, ending a long wait of 783 days.

With this knock, Babar now has 12 T20 centuries in his career. He moved to second place on the all-time list, behind only West Indies legend Chris Gayle. Babar is currently in superb form. In 7 innings of PSL 2026, he has scored 401 runs at an average of 100.25 and a strike rate of 143.73.

Peshawar Zalmi remain at the top of the table. Their next match is against Karachi Kings on April 22 in Lahore.
