Pakistani Climber Suhail Sakhi Summits World’s Third-Highest Peak

Pakistani mountaineer Sohail Sakhi from Hunza has achieved a historic milestone by successfully summiting Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest mountain peak at 8,586 metres.

Sohail reached the summit at around 12:15 am Nepal time after facing extremely difficult weather conditions and challenging terrain. This remarkable achievement adds another feather to his cap as one of Pakistan’s leading high-altitude climbers.

Before this success, Sohail Sakhi had already climbed several of the world’s highest peaks, including K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II. He also served as a member of the rope-fixing team during the Kangchenjunga expedition, playing a key role in making the climb possible for others.
