MrBeast himself confirmed on social media that they rented a city for the challenge.
The unusual competition gives the popular creator and his friends a simple goal: stay away from the police for as long as possible. Meanwhile, real officers take part in the manhunt and attempt to locate and arrest the participants before the deadline.
The concept brings the excitement of a video game into the real world. Instead of actors playing police officers, the challenge involved an actual police department, making the chase more unpredictable and adding another level of difficulty for MrBeast and his team.
The $500,000 prize is the biggest attraction. If the officers successfully caught the creators within the agreed time, the police department would receive the money. Reports circulating online say the challenge was designed as a city-wide game of cops versus creators.
