The Pakistan Army has won a silver medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2026, a prestigious international military competition held in Wales, United Kingdom, from October 2 to 13.
According to an official statement, the competition featured 140 teams from 36 countries, testing participants’ physical endurance, tactical skills, leadership and teamwork under challenging conditions. Pakistan’s eight-member team, comprising one officer and seven soldiers from the 59 Punjab Regiment, secured the silver medal.
Cambrian Patrol is organised by the British Army and is widely recognised as a demanding military patrolling exercise. Participants face physically and mentally challenging tasks designed to assess their ability to navigate difficult terrain, make tactical decisions and work effectively under pressure.
The latest achievement extends Pakistan Army’s medal-winning streak at the event to five consecutive years. Pakistani teams won silver medals in 2022 and 2023 before securing gold medals in both 2024 and 2025.
Following the competition, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, hosted the medal-winning team at the Pakistan High Commission in London on October 14. He congratulated the soldiers and discussed their experiences during the international exercise.
The achievement highlights the team’s preparation, discipline and ability to perform in a demanding international military environment. Pakistan’s continued success at Cambrian Patrol also provides an opportunity for its personnel to engage with military teams from other countries and demonstrate their professional capabilities.
