Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced a financial aid package of Rs. 400 million for specially-abled individuals across the province. This support will be given through 56 partner organizations under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD). He also promised to double the budget to Rs. 800 million next year.

As part of the new plans, 20 new disability centres will be set up, and 15 existing ones will be upgraded to provide better services. The Chief Minister also highlighted the need for transport services at 66 centres to help people with disabilities travel more easily.

In addition, 12 new rehabilitation centres will be established at the district level, and efforts are being made to include specially-abled children in regular schools by introducing a new, inclusive curriculum. This step aims to give every child equal opportunities in education.

To improve accessibility, Murad Ali Shah has ordered that all government offices must install wheelchair ramps so that people with disabilities can move around independently.

The announcement was made during a special ceremony, which ended with heartwarming patriotic songs and art displays by specially-abled children. Their talent and spirit were appreciated by everyone present.

This initiative marks a big step toward building an inclusive society where people with disabilities are supported, empowered, and given the respect they deserve.
