The Punjab Government has launched a comprehensive security plan for Eid-ul-Azha by deploying more than 40,000 police and law enforcement personnel across the province. This major security operation aims to ensure peaceful celebrations and maintain law and order during the festival.
Senior officials said that strict security arrangements have been made at mosques, Eid prayer grounds, busy markets, and cattle markets. Police will also provide special protection at sacrifice points and busy public areas where large crowds are expected.
The plan includes increased patrolling, setting up checkpoints, and enhanced surveillance in sensitive and crowded locations. Rapid response teams have been formed to deal with any emergency quickly. Traffic police have also been directed to manage heavy vehicle movement and prevent traffic jams during the festive days.
Authorities are focusing on preventing any untoward incidents, including street crimes, thefts, and possible terror threats. Coordination between police, intelligence agencies, and other departments has been strengthened to make sure citizens can celebrate Eid safely.
The Punjab government has appealed to citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any suspicious activity immediately. Officials have assured the public that every possible step is being taken to make Eid-ul-Azha peaceful and secure for everyone.
