Road From Karachi to Quetta! Construction Starts on 800km N-25 Pakistan Expressway in Balochistan

Construction has officially begun on the new 800‑kilometre N-25 Pakistan Expressway, which will link Karachi, Quetta and Chaman — a major step forward in improving road connectivity in Balochistan.

The expressway, overseen by National Highway Authority (NHA), was announced earlier this year by the federal government. Federal Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan described the project as a “strategic milestone” that could transform socio-economic development across Balochistan.

Once finished, the upgraded N-25 Expressway, a four‑lane dual carriageway built to motorway standards, is expected to slash travel time dramatically, cutting the journey between Karachi and Chaman from roughly 18 hours to just 6 to 8 hours.

Authorities say the project will not just ease travel, it will boost trade, improve access to remote areas, and foster regional growth. It is planned alongside other infrastructure upgrades in Balochistan, including sections linking to the M-8 Motorway to enhance connectivity with the port city of Gwadar.

For many communities, the N-25 Expressway represents hope: safer travel, new economic opportunities, and better integration with the rest of the country. As work moves ahead, all eyes are on timely delivery and high‑quality construction, a necessary foundation for Balochistan’s future growth.
