MG JW Automobile Pakistan has announced a landmark partnership with Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited to launch MG-branded motor oil across the country, marking a significant expansion in the automaker’s after-sales service ecosystem.
The signing ceremony was held at the MG CKD Plant in Lahore, attended by Shao, CEO of MG Motors Pakistan, Danish Ansari, Director of Lubricants at Wafi Shell, and senior leadership from both companies. The collaboration represents a strategic alliance between Pakistan’s growing automotive sector and Saudi-backed energy infrastructure.
The launch introduces Advanced Synthetic Technology motor oils: 0W-20 SP C5 and 5W-30 SP C3. The oils are designed to boost engine life, improve fuel efficiency, and deliver consistent performance.
These specialized formulations are specifically engineered to meet the demands of modern engines, offering optimal efficiency, superior protection, and enhanced reliability.
The agreement marks another step in the expansion of Saudi private investment in Pakistan’s downstream energy and automotive servicing sectors, following Wafi Energy’s acquisition of Shell Pakistan last year.
Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited, formerly Shell Pakistan Limited, now operates one of the country’s largest fuel retail and lubricants networks under Saudi ownership while continuing to market products under the Shell brand.
According to CEO Shao, the launch reinforces MG’s commitment to premium after-sales service and strengthens its promise of delivering world-class automotive solutions to Pakistani customers. By combining MG’s strong nationwide dealership presence with Wafi Energy’s expertise in advanced lubricants, the partnership ensures customers across the country will have access to premium motor oils that extend engine life and optimize performance.
The products became available at authorized MG dealerships nationwide this month, providing vehicle owners with high-quality maintenance solutions. This initiative enhances MG’s after-sales ecosystem, builds greater customer trust, and positions the brand for sustained expansion in Pakistan’s competitive automotive market.
