Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a special meeting today with the two Pakistani heroes chosen to travel to space. Muhammad Zeeshan Ali and Khurram Daud were warmly praised for their selection in China’s manned space program.
Supported by Pakistan’s space agency, SUPARCO, these two candidates are about to start a life-changing journey. They will soon fly to China to begin intense physical and technical training. Eventually, one of them is expected to join a mission to the Tiangong Space Station. This person will make history as the first-ever Pakistani to reach orbit and work as a payload specialist.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this mission is about much more than just travel; it is about scientific progress. By working with China, Pakistan will be able to conduct experiments in space that could help solve problems on Earth, such as improving medicine and farming techniques.
This partnership also celebrates the deep friendship, often called the “iron brotherhood,” between Pakistan and China. It shows that both countries are committed to reaching new heights together.
As these astronauts prepare for their launch in late 2026, they carry the dreams of millions. Their success will surely inspire a new generation of young Pakistanis to look up at the stars and dream big.
