Multan Sultans posted a competitive total of 192/6 against Islamabad United in their latest Pakistan Super League 2026 clash, setting a target of 193 runs.
Multan made a strong start in the power play, with captain Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan building a solid 59-run opening partnership. Their steady approach gave the team early momentum and put pressure on the opposition bowlers. However, the innings slowed down after Rizwan’s dismissal in the 11th over, which shifted the flow of the game.
Despite the middle order facing some challenges, Multan found late acceleration through Ashton Turner and Arafat Minhas. The pair added a quick 55 runs in just 24 deliveries, helping the team reach a strong total. Their aggressive hitting in the final overs ensured Multan finished close to the 200-run mark.
On the bowling side, Islamabad’s captain Shadab Khan and Salman Mirza played key roles in restricting Multan’s scoring during crucial phases of the innings.
Multan Sultans have now completed their group matches and must wait for other results to confirm their place in the playoffs.
