The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the results of the CSS 2025 examination. Only 2.67% of candidates passed the written stage, showing how tough the test is.
Out of 12,792 candidates who appeared, just 355 cleared the written exam. From these, the FPSC recommended 170 candidates for appointment in BS-17 posts. This includes 84 men and 86 women.
Asad Rafiq (also referred to as Usaid Rafique) secured the first position. Muhammad Mohsin stood second, while Tariq Hafeez got third place. Punjab dominated the top 30 with 23 candidates. Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan also had some toppers.
All top 30 candidates were allocated to key services like the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). Interestingly, none got the Foreign Service of Pakistan.
The CSS exam remains one of Pakistan’s most competitive tests for government jobs. The low pass rate highlights the need for hard work, good preparation, and deep knowledge of subjects.
Successful candidates will now serve the country in important administrative roles.
