Naran and Kaghan Valley saw a strong rise in tourism during the Eid holidays as more than 128,000 people visited the northern region. Families, students, and tourists from different cities travelled to enjoy the cool weather and natural beauty.
Popular spots such as lakes, rivers, green meadows, and mountain views attracted large crowds throughout the holiday period. Many visitors spent time boating, hiking, and taking photos in scenic areas, making the valleys very busy.
Local businesses also benefited from the high number of tourists. Hotels reported full bookings in many areas, while restaurants and transport services saw increased activity. Shopkeepers and small vendors said the holiday season brought good income due to the large flow of visitors.
Traffic pressure increased on key routes leading to Naran and Kaghan, especially during peak travel days. Authorities managed the situation by deploying staff for traffic control and safety monitoring to reduce congestion and ensure smooth vehicle movement.
Despite the heavy rush, most tourists described their experience as enjoyable, appreciating the region’s natural environment and pleasant weather.
Officials say the rising number of visitors reflects the growing trend of domestic tourism in Pakistan. More people are now choosing northern areas for short holiday trips, especially during Eid and summer vacations.
