Google Just Made Its Gemini AI Subscription Much Cheaper, Doubles Cloud Storage

by Mahnoor Arif

Google has made its Gemini AI subscription much more affordable. The company reduced the price of the Google AI Plus plan to just $4.99 per month in the US (or local equivalent). This is a big drop from the previous $7.99 per month.

Along with the lower price, Google doubled the included cloud storage. Users now get 400GB of storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos, up from 200GB earlier. The storage upgrade is rolling out over the next few days, while the new price applies at the next billing cycle.

The AI Plus plan gives access to advanced Gemini features. Users can enjoy higher usage limits for Gemini 3 Pro, video generation tools, AI-powered email help in Gmail, Daily summaries, and more productivity and creativity tools. It serves as an affordable entry to premium AI without the higher cost of the AI Pro plan.

This move comes as demand for integrated AI and cloud services grows worldwide. By lowering the price and adding more storage, Google is making these tools available to more students, professionals, and families. Industry experts see it as a smart, competitive step against other AI companies.

Many users are happy with the better value. The change makes powerful AI and extra storage easier to afford. Google continues to improve its services to stay ahead in the fast-changing tech market.
