92% of Isr@elis Believe Iran Emerged as Winner After US Deal: Survey

A new survey from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Agam Institute reveals deep worry among Israelis after the recent war with Iran and a US-Iran agreement. The poll, taken from June 17 to 20 with 3,644 people, found that 92.1% believe Iran came out as the winner.

Most Israelis feel the conflict did not meet its main goals. About 82.9% said it weakened Israel’s long-term security. Around 86% viewed the results and the deal negatively.

Even among supporters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing group, 93.1% thought Iran won. This shows wide agreement across different political views.

The war started in late February with US and Israeli actions against Iran. It ended with a US-brokered deal that included a ceasefire. Many Israelis worry that Iran will keep its power and nuclear abilities. They feel Israel did not gain enough safety.

This pessimism points to public frustration with how the government handled the situation. Experts say the poll shows a need for better strategies to protect Israel’s future. People want stronger steps to stop threats from Iran.

The findings highlight a big gap between what leaders hoped for and how regular Israelis see the outcome. Israel now faces tough questions about its security and ties with the US.
