PSL 11 Update! Sialkot Stallionz Rebranded as Multan Sultans

by Mahnoor Arif

The Pakistan Super League franchise Sialkot Stallionz has officially been rebranded as Multan Sultans after a majority takeover by CD Ventures. The development was confirmed by PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer, who said the change has been approved by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Under the new arrangement, CD Ventures owner Gohar Shah has taken over as the franchise’s CEO. Reports suggest that the deal has raised the team’s annual valuation to around Rs 2 billion, reflecting strong commercial interest in the league.

Officials said the rebranding aims to strengthen representation from South Punjab, with Multan now becoming the official base of the team. However, management has assured fans in Sialkot that parts of the Stallionz identity will remain connected to the franchise. Transport arrangements are expected to be made so that supporters from Sialkot can travel to watch matches during the upcoming season.

Gohar Shah has spoken about introducing a “Total Cricket” vision for the team. He said the focus will be on smart squad selection, balanced team strategy, and long term planning to improve performance in PSL Season 11.

PSL Season 11 is scheduled to begin on March 26, with teams preparing for what is expected to be another competitive edition of Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament.
