by Mahnoor Arif

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei has said that a high-level Pakistani delegation is likely to visit Tehran in the near future.

Speaking to Iranian media on Tuesday, Baqaei confirmed that Pakistan has shown keen interest in continuing diplomatic engagement following the recent US-Iran talks held in Islamabad. He described Pakistan as a “reliable and important friend” that played a constructive role in hosting the high-level negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The Iranian spokesperson thanked Pakistan for its efforts in facilitating the marathon talks, which lasted over 21 hours but ended without a final agreement. He noted that both sides discussed several important issues, including Iran’s nuclear programme, frozen assets, sanctions, and regional security.

Baqaei said the planned visit by the Pakistani delegation aims to follow up on the Islamabad discussions and explore ways to reduce tensions and build trust between Iran and the United States. The visit is expected to take place soon, though no exact date has been announced yet.

Pakistan has maintained balanced and friendly relations with both Iran and the United States. Islamabad has actively worked as a mediator to promote peace and stability in the region amid the recent conflict.

This upcoming visit reflects the close brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iran. It also shows Pakistan’s continued diplomatic efforts to support dialogue and prevent further escalation in the Middle East.

Analysts believe the Pakistani delegation may carry new proposals to help restart meaningful talks between Tehran and Washington.
