Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a grand and honourable welcome upon entering Qatari airspace on his official visit to Qatar.
As the Prime Minister’s aircraft approached Doha, Qatari Air Force fighter jets provided a ceremonial escort. The Qatari jets flew alongside the PM’s plane in a protective formation and accompanied it safely until landing at the airport.
This impressive gesture is a traditional mark of respect shown by Qatar to high-level dignitaries. PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to the Qatari leadership and the pilots of the fighter jets for the warm and dignified reception.
The Prime Minister is on a two-day official visit to Qatar as part of his important regional tour that also includes Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance economic cooperation, and discuss regional peace and stability, especially amid the recent tensions in the Middle East.
Pakistan and Qatar share strong brotherly ties. Qatar is home to a large Pakistani community and is a major supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Pakistan. Both countries regularly cooperate in trade, investment, and diplomatic matters.
During his stay in Doha, PM Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and other senior Qatari leaders. The discussions will focus on increasing trade, investment opportunities, and joint efforts for peace in the region.
