US President Donald Trump has introduced a limited-edition “Patriot Passport” featuring his portrait as part of the celebrations marking America’s 250th Independence anniversary.
The commemorative passport will be available in limited numbers from July 6.
The new design includes Trump’s portrait and signature alongside the text of the Declaration of Independence.
It also features artwork showing the Founding Fathers signing the historic document in 1776.
According to the US State Department, the special passport is a commemorative edition and will not replace the standard US passport.
Regular passports will continue to be issued through the normal application process.
The announcement has drawn mixed reactions. Supporters view it as a patriotic tribute to America’s 250th anniversary, while critics say placing a president’s image on an official travel document is unusual.
The passport has also sparked widespread discussion on social media.
