The vessel encountered severe flooding while sailing east of Ormara on its journey from Karachi to the Gulf of Oman, prompting an emergency distress call.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) immediately coordinated the rescue effort after receiving the distress signal. Pakistan Navy ship PNS Hunain was diverted to the scene, while aerial assets, including a naval helicopter, were deployed to support the operation despite challenging sea conditions.
