Mohsin Naqvi inaugurates Lahore’s major traffic project, calling it a significant step toward improving the city’s road network and easing congestion.
Lahore’s road infrastructure has received a major boost with the completion of the Shahdara Multi-Grade Flyover, a key project designed to improve traffic movement and strengthen connectivity across the city.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the newly completed flyover, which authorities say was constructed in a record period of just six months. The rapid completion has been highlighted as a major achievement in Lahore’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its transportation infrastructure.
The Shahdara area is one of Lahore’s important traffic corridors, connecting several major routes and handling a heavy flow of vehicles every day. Traffic congestion in the area has frequently caused delays for commuters, particularly during peak hours.
The newly completed flyover is expected to improve the movement of vehicles by providing better traffic flow and reducing conflicts at busy intersections. It is also aimed at making daily commuting smoother for residents and motorists travelling through Shahdara.
During the inauguration, Mohsin Naqvi praised the speed at which the project was completed and emphasized the importance of timely infrastructure development. He said improved road networks are essential for supporting Lahore’s growing population and increasing traffic demands.
The completion of the project adds to ongoing infrastructure efforts aimed at modernizing Lahore’s transportation system. Officials expect the flyover to provide long-term benefits for commuters while improving connectivity between key parts of the city.
The project’s six-month completion timeline has also been presented as an example of accelerated development and efficient project execution.
