President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan’s independence is not only a historic achievement but also a responsibility that every generation must carry forward.
In his message, the president emphasized that the country was created through the democratic will of its people and that this vision must continue to guide Pakistan’s future.
He said Pakistan should keep moving towards becoming a stronger, safer and more prosperous country. According to the president, achieving this goal requires continued efforts from every generation and a commitment to national development.
President Zardari also stressed that the current generation has an important role in shaping the country’s future. He said people should not only remember and honour the achievements of those who came before them but should also work to build on their successes.
His remarks highlighted the importance of responsibility, unity and collective effort in strengthening the country. He encouraged citizens to contribute through their own work and efforts so that Pakistan can continue to progress.
The president’s message came as Pakistan celebrated its 79th Independence Day on August 14. Across the country, people marked the occasion with flag-hoisting ceremonies, patriotic gatherings, official events and celebrations.
The day also provided an opportunity to remember the struggle that led to the creation of Pakistan in 1947 and to reflect on the responsibilities that come with independence.
