Pakistani actor Emmad Irfani has caught the attention of social media users, with fans suggesting that he would be a suitable choice to portray former Prime Minister and cricket legend Imran Khan in a possible biographical film.

The discussion gained momentum after Irfani shared photographs from his trip to London. Fans quickly noticed his resemblance to Imran Khan, particularly the former cricketer’s appearance during the 1990s.

Several social media users praised the actor’s looks and suggested that he could bring Khan’s personality and charisma to the big screen. The comparison has sparked renewed interest in the possibility of a film documenting the life of Pakistan’s 1992 Cricket World Cup-winning captain.

Irfani has previously addressed the comparisons. During an appearance on ARY News’ programme Har Lamha Purjosh in March 2026, he said that people began comparing him to Imran Khan after photographs from a charity photoshoot at Lord’s in London were shared online. He described the comparison as a major compliment and praised Khan’s charisma.

Emmad Irfani began his career as a model before moving into acting. He has since appeared in several popular Pakistani dramas, including Cheekh, Jalan, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Kafeel.

Interestingly, Irfani was also considered for an earlier planned film about Imran Khan titled Kaptaan, but the role eventually went to actor Abdul Mannan.

Despite growing online interest, there has been no official announcement confirming a new Imran Khan biopic featuring Irfani. For now, the idea remains a fan-driven suggestion rather than a confirmed film project.
