Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday honoured the memory of 22 Kashmiris who were martyred on July 13, 1931, while standing up against the Dogra rulers. In his message on Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, he praised their bravery, saying their sacrifice is a symbol of courage and strong will in the face of cruelty and unfair rule.
The Prime Minister strongly criticized India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He promised that Pakistan will always stand by the people of Kashmir. He said Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiris with political, diplomatic, and moral help until they get their right to decide their future as promised by United Nations resolutions.
Shehbaz Sharif said July 13 is a day for the nation to remember and feel proud of the brave people of Kashmir. He said the sacrifices made by the Kashmiris in 1931 still give hope and strength to those who are fighting today for freedom, respect, and basic human rights.
The Prime Minister also said that Pakistan will keep raising its voice for Kashmiris on every world stage. He promised that Pakistan’s support will not end until Kashmiris get justice and freedom from oppression.
He called the martyrs heroes whose courage continues to inspire new generations. Their struggle shows the world that Kashmiris will never give up their right to live freely and with honour. The day reminds everyone that their sacrifice will never be forgotten and the dream of freedom will always stay alive.
