PAF Honors Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed on First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) held a special ceremony at its headquarters in Islamabad on May 7, 2026, to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. During the event, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed was formally honored for his outstanding leadership and professional performance.

Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, who served as a key officer in the Operations Branch, played a vital role in the successful use of air power during Marka-e-Haq, the May 2025 conflict with India. He was praised for his excellent mission planning, force allocation, and ensuring smooth coordination of air operations across the battlespace. His strategic efforts contributed significantly to the overall success of PAF missions.

Senior PAF officials, including the Air Chief, attended the ceremony. They highlighted the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and strong leadership in modern air warfare. AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed currently serves as Director General Public Relations of the PAF and has earlier commanded important positions, including Air Force Strategic Command.

The event also paid tribute to other officers and the families of martyrs who showed bravery during the conflict. This anniversary celebration reflects the Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to recognizing excellence and boosting morale among its personnel.

Marka-e-Haq is remembered as a proud chapter in Pakistan’s defence history, demonstrating the PAF’s readiness and capability to defend the nation.
