Karachi’s upcoming IT Park is expected to create around 15,000 jobs and generate up to $100 million in annual ICT exports, as Pakistan expands its technology infrastructure and digital economy.
The project, being developed by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), is located near Jinnah International Airport. According to the Special Technology Zones Authority, the facility covers around 1.145 million square feet across six acres and is currently under construction.
The IT Park will provide modern offices, startup and incubation spaces, a data centre, research facilities and technology services. It is designed to support sectors including software development, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, fintech and data analytics.
The project is expected to accommodate around 200–210 technology companies and provide capacity for thousands of technology professionals. Government documents have also projected 15,000 direct and indirect jobs and $100 million in annual IT exports from the facility.
The Karachi IT Park is being developed at an estimated cost of $186.658 million, with financing from Korea’s EDCF and the Government of Pakistan. Current planning documents indicate completion is targeted for June 2027.
The project is intended to strengthen Karachi’s technology ecosystem, support startups and help Pakistani IT companies expand their presence in international markets.
